In my experience in IS101-3005, at the beginning of the semester I honestly felt a bit nervous because I thought the course might be difficult or hard to keep up with. I was not sure if I would be able to adapt to the pace or understand everything easily. However, over time I got used to the class, and now I feel much more comfortable.
I actually found this course very interesting and enjoyable. What I liked the most is that it teaches real, practical skills that we can use in the future. It helped me learn how to create professional documents, presentations, and work with tools like Excel in a more organized and efficient way.
I also appreciated the classroom environment. It felt interactive, and my classmates participation made it easier to learn from different perspectives. The instructor was very supportive throughout the course, always willing to help and clarify any doubts, which made the learning process less stressful.
From Chapter 6.2.3 Presentation Management Facts, I strengthened my understanding of how to manage presentations effectively. I learned how to organize slides, duplicate or delete them when needed, hide slides, and group content into sections to create a better flow. These tools help make presentations more structured and professional.
Overall, this course helped me feel more confident working with technology. I believe the skills I gained from the instructor, the course, and my classmates will be very useful in future classes and in a professional environment. I’m glad I took this course and I feel more prepared moving forward.

Hey Vania, I think struggling at the start is just part of learning anything new, nobody really opens PowerPoint and instantly knows what they’re doing. What matters is sticking with it long enough to see how everything starts to connect.
ReplyDeleteWhat I enjoyed most wasn’t really the LabSims either, it was figuring out what the programs can actually do once you step outside the instructions. I tend to mess around with features just to see how far I can push them, and honestly that’s where most of the learning happens. The downside is it takes time, and not everything fits within class hours, I ended up watching a lot of YouTube videos just to see how far presentations can really go.
For the presentation itself, I’ve had some practice speaking in other classes, so that part felt more natural. What made it interesting for me was using different tools in PowerPoint and actually applying what we learned in Chapter 6 instead of just reading about it.
Hello Vania! I was super nervous at the beginning of the semester too so you're not alone. I also felt some enjoyment from this class. Knowing the detailed aspects of these programs that I've been using since I was a kid was very interesting! Learning how to manage slides properly was fun to learn. I feel much more confident with this technology as well, this class is/was very enlightening.

ReplyDeleteHi Vania. Managing presentations from PowerPoint is important for businesses. I didn’t know that you could create different sections within a presentation. Doing that can help people understand what main points that each slide is connected to.
ReplyDeleteHey Vania, you make a great point this class truly helps you build practical skills that you can make use of in the future. Although difficult at times the class was generally enjoyable to learn.
